In a land conquered by the monstrous, marauding band of Rhines, this tale follows the journey of a young girl in her quest to restore a kingdom back to her people.
The day of the Blood Red Sun was a day of reckoning for the kingdom of Amaranth. A marauding band of Rhines, monstrous creatures of sizable brute strength, seized control of a kind and beautiful kingdom. They killed it’s nobility, imprisoned it’s leaders, and subjected it’s native people to a life of destitute. A day once celebrated turned into a day of remembrance of the Overtaking.
Ten years have passed. Andromeda and her best friend, Sam, continue to spend their summers together trying to make the best of growing up in their new world. This summer, however, has been different. Strange things are afoot. New creatures are entering their kingdom. The woods simply aren’t the same. Andromeda and Sam are swept into a whirlwind of events that will not only define their future, but the fate of their entire kingdom.

Even as a kid, my head was always in the clouds. I loved going into the woods to explore. I’d pretend trees were giant dinosaurs, we’d have epic imaginary battles with pirates from our tree fort, and engage in lightsaber duels with old cornstalks from the farm behind us.
